What is the different technology of magnesium alloy extrusion material and aluminum alloy extrusion material?
Heating method: magnesium alloy can only be heated in air resistance furnace: aluminum alloy can be heated in air resistance furnace or induction furnace.
Extrusion temperature: the extrusion temperature of magnesium alloy is slightly lower. In order to prevent the combustion of magnesium ingots, the maximum allowed heating temperature of various alloys is 470 c. The highest heating temperature of aluminum alloy can reach 550 degrees Celsius.
Extrusion speed: the maximum extrusion speed of magnesium alloy can reach 20m/min, which is faster than that of hard aluminum alloy, but only about 1/3 of that of soft aluminum alloy.
Mold size: the shrinkage of magnesium alloy hot extrusion plate is larger than that of aluminum alloy, and the deformation force that the mold needs to bear is also large, so the mold design should be considered.
